The Sleeping Warrior Camp

On the shores of one of the most beautiful lakes in the Great Rift Valley, Lake Elementeita, lies a vast, extinct volcano. Seen from the distance, its time-eroded crater suggests the profile of a massive Maasai warrior. Overlooking the volcano, surrounded by 20,000 hectares of the private Soysambu Conservancy, nestles an exclusive tented camp, The Sleeping Warrior Camp.

Located 140 km or just over two hours' drive from Nairobi, the Camp offers home-cooked cuisine, guided walks, volcano climbs, day and night game drives, lakeshore exploration, balloon safaris, bush lunches, evening sundowners amid the volcanoes, or just a simple getaway.

The camp has six rooms. Four safari tents with private verandahs, one room within Ututu house, and Eagle's Nest, our romantic getaway.
