Die eienaars het uit hulle pad gegaan om 'n klein probleempie met die watertoevoer op te los toe dit al donker was.
Sal dit graag weer wil gebruik met 'n volgende besoek aan Namibia.

fantastic site with a view! by Ingrid Stengel, Namibia 05 January 2017 Fantastic site! The view is spectacular! Breathtaking sunrises and sunsets! Each site has a well thought-thru sun/rain roof, plus outside taps and sink for dishes, plus inside toilet/shower/sink, all clean and neat. Due to the mountainous topography (slope of the Great Escarpment) there is always a breeze (downhill at night, uphill during the day) which eases any heat. Be prepared to wind-proof your cooking site :-) Mosquito-free. Solar panel provides light if needed, and charges USB devices only (no other electricity). Ester offers to charge camera batteries etc. overnight on the farm. Cellphone and 4G reception is limited to a few local spots and somewhat fluctuating, but who needs that at such a place. I stayed for 5 nights and had a braai pack on arrival and a breakfast pack a few days later, both of which were lekker, scrumptuous, and lasted me for 2 meals each :-) There is an easy to reach ridge with more spectacular views and likely zebra encounters within 3 minutes walk from the site. Else, ample hiking terrain is all around you. Will definitely come again. Thanks so much! Wish all campsites were like this. The view by Helmuth Zimmermann 24 May 2018 This was the campsite with the most fantastic view, and the owners were extremely helpful and hospitable--they helped us with the purchase of meat, vegetables and fire wood and tried to accommodate us in all possible ways-- it was a great pleasure camping at Spreetshoogte and we can highly recommend them-- each campsite had its own ablution, shower, toilet and washbasin and a "donkey" with fire wood supplied to make hot water. We totally enjoyed our stay at Spreetshoogte with Ester and Hugh Knipe who are lovely and generous people. Incredible view, amazing sunset by Dianne Beukes 17 September 2018 The view nearly made up for the disappointment of arriving to an ablution covered in rat poo and no water to flush the toilet or to feed the donkey, so no hot shower. The wind also catches the campsite quiet fiercely. We were woken by the rowdy arrival of a gang of road-workers staying in the cottage next to our campsite. Amazing view by Phyl Russell 14 October 2018 The view was absolutely incredible. We suggested to the owners that they might consider :
1. One of the four beds should be a bunk bed
2. The space then created could be used as a tiny basic kitchen, a small table a few shelves ... as we experienced strong winds blowing and needed to cook inside. The owners agreed to consider this suggestion. SPREETSHOOGTE CAMPSITE LOCATION
