Shella Royal House

Shella Royal House consists of two houses on the same property, idyllically located in Shela and a 2-minute walk from the pier. Both houses have beautiful views of the Indian Ocean and the beach below. One house has six en-suite rooms and one penthouse with an individual balcony, and the other house has four en-suite rooms and two penthouses each with an individual balcony.

Both houses have electricity, however in cases of power failure from the main supply we have a power generator and back-up inverter system. All comforts such as fans, mosquito nets, fridges and fully equipped modern kitchens are provided.

Since the houses have an ideal location overlooking the Manda Channel and easy access to the 12 km white sandy beaches, guests can take long walks or just relax on the beach. Shella Royal House has its own excursion dhow and a modern fishing boat which is manned by a captain and his crew. The modern fishing boat is ideal for deep sea fishing and we organise all sorts of trips in the boat. Guests can fish and then cook their catch on the deck served with a glass of wine from the bar.

Royal House has well-trained staff including a permanent gourmet cook who specialises in Swahili food and a wide variety of seafood dishes, as well as vegetarian dishes. At any time guests may dine on the rooftop with lovely views and the local sounds from the village.
