Our farm stay, known as the Boshuis, comprises a two-bedroom en-suite spacious home that is fully equipped with everything that you'll need to enjoy your stay. It is nestled in an indigenous forest at the foot of the Outeniqua mountains where rest and relaxation are guaranteed. It is a mere 15 minutes from George Airport, but you will feel as though you are miles away from civilization as you are surrounded by birdsong, fresh mountain air and the sound of the nearby stream.

The Boshuis is an off-grid getaway that uses solar energy, gas and borehole water. There are a handful of little paths, which you can meander along on the farm. Our favourite path winds along the Modder River, through the indigenous forest and ends up at a waterfall and a freshwater pool.

The house features a well-equipped kitchen with a four-plat gas hob, a microwave, a toaster and fridge/freezer, Wi-Fi, multiple seating areas, an indoor braai area, a fireplace, an outside firepit and a pizza oven.

The farm offers a few walks along the river and you are welcome to wander about, but please be wary of the buffalo and do not walk near them. They are wild animals and extremely dangerous, no matter how docile they may seem. We will advise you which camps the buffalo are currently in when you arrive, so that you know where it is safe to walk.

Guests can enjoy a lovely hike along the Modder River that leads you to a waterfall and freshwater cool pool which you can take a dip in if you are brave! We can help guests who would like to enjoy longer hiking trails and guide you which routes to take with many trails in the area that traverses the Outeniqua mountain range. Mountain bikers can cycle on the nearby farm roads and even tackle the Montague Pass. We can advise you on routes in the area.

Although the accommodation units and the surrounding area is a sight to behold, the Garden Route offers an array of exciting and interesting activities for every taste. The culinary delights, the adrenaline adventures, the nature-lover trails, beautiful beaches and the sporting opportunities are only the highlights of what this part of the country has to offer.
