Petleys Inn Hotel

Petleys Inn is the oldest hotel in east Africa, dating back some 170 years. Due to the rich history, we have tried to preserve the original ancient feeling of the place. Petleys is situated at the main jetty on the seafront as you disembark from the dhows, with a fantastic view of the sea to the Lamu pre-historic site.

Petley's bar is allocated on the rooftop and offers fantastic views over the old port of Lamu Channel. This where people come and meet and talk about the day, while relaxing with variety of entertainment and house cocktails. We also have a VIP wine bar offering over one thousand types of wine.

In addition, Petleys Inn is the only hotel in Lamu Town boasting a swimming pool. This is a refreshing feature after a long day in Lamu's glorious sunshine. The romantic ambience of Petleys has a natural attraction for honeymooners and lovers alike.
