Mtoni Marine Centre

Mtoni Marine is located on the west coast of Zanzibar, 10 minutes north of Stone Town and neighbouring the legendary Mtoni Palace. This laidback, family friendly hotel is the ideal location from which to explore Stone Town and the rest of the island.

At Mtoni, we feature eight Palm Court Rooms, 33 Club Rooms, four Family Apartments and one Family H, all with air-conditioning, en-suite bathrooms, electronic safes, and fans. The lush gardens offer a quiet retreat, and guests are welcome to make use of our library for a book exchange. The Mtoni Palace, where Princess Salme was born, is a must-see. Although severely deteriorated, Mtoni Palace still offers visitors a glimpse into the world of the Arabian royalty who once lived there.
