Mike's Beach Cottages

Located off the beaten track, Mike's Beach Cottages blend in beautifully against the idyllic coastal landscape of the Ushongo Mtoni Bay.

The beautiful Ushongo Mtoni Bay is dotted with palm trees that have seemingly been pre-designed for long romantic walks, with a cool breeze as company.

Mike and his team will welcome guests in German, English and Kiswahili. Rooms are spacious, clean and simply furnished with air-conditioning, to make those hot seasons bearable.

The restaurant offers fresh seafood and seasonal dishes. Guests are welcomed to choose from a variety of delicious dishes and on request dinner will be served on the beach.

Mike offers shuttle services to most cities in Kenya and Tanzania. As well as trips to the close by sandbanks for snorkelling, guided tours through Pangani or a safari to the Saadani National Park, where if you're lucky you can see elephants wade into the Indian Ocean.

Mike's Beach Cottages are a short fifteen minutes south of Pangani. This small historic Swahili town is well-known for its intricate history. Here slave trade was banned by the British in 1873, and later in 1888 the town was to become the center of an armed movement that fended off the German expeditionary forces.
