Lions Rock Rapids

Lions Rock Rapids is situated on the banks of the iconic Sabie River, a brief 10 minute drive from the nearby town of Hazyview in Mpumalanga and 20km from the Phabeni Gate of the Kruger National Park ? approximate 4,5hrs drive from Johannesburg.

All our luxury tents feature an en-suite bathroom, tea / coffee making facility, mini-safe, aircon and covered patio overlooking the Sabie River.

Our lodge accommodation features private splash pools as well as jacuzzi baths for each suite. These suites are semi-self catering with private bbq facilities, tea/coffee making facilities, mini safe, space heaters and covered patios with sun chairs to enjoy views of the Sabie Valley.

Central guest facilities include a reception, dining area, lounge & bar, and open air BOMA on the banks of the Sabie River.

Hazyview is a lush, sub-tropical farming town in Mpumalanga, South Africa and is renowned for its large banana and macadamia nuts industries, contributing about 20% of South Africa's bananas and 30% of macadamia output.

Nearby attractions / activities can include day trips into the Kruger National Park ? Phabeni gate being the closest at an approximate 20 minute drive from the camp, restaurants in and around Hazyview, quad biking, river rafting, Cultural Village, Panorama Route, and much more. Guests are also welcome to take part in a 30 minute tour of the macadamia plantation on the property at a minimal surcharge.
