Island Safari Lodge is set on a 300 acre private island reserve, and is situated on the banks of the Thamalakane River.The lodge comprises of 12 chalets, 6 Heritage Rooms and 6 Heritage Family Rooms which all feature en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, Satellite TV and tea and coffee facilities. The tranquil bush setting also offers guests swimming pools, laundry amenities, a restaurant, wheelchair accessibility and parking on the premises.Attractions in and around the area include the Okavango Delta, the Moremi Game Reserve and the many exciting scenic helicopter flights and game drives that can be had.

What a delightful lodge with lots of activities - however we opted to relax under the huge trees along the calm riverfront.

Love the setting that is why I came back. Adequate by Kyle Mcclean 07 January 2018 Island Safari Lodge has clearly been around for a long time. It's well established, however, it is also very dated in terms of facilities. The restaurant food wasn't great and the restaurant isn't enclosed so there's no air conditioner and you have to fight the mosquitoes inside. The rooms don't have fridges and you can't drink the water (notices up in the rooms). This would've been helpful to know before we arrived so we could've brought bottled water. However, the air conditioner in the room worked 24/7 and is probably the most important feature here in summer. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful, breakfasts are decent and the location is ok. Farm land, livestock grazing and crops, right across the river detracts from the location. In comparison to the other accommodation we saw nearby, this seemed the best and hence why they can charge what they do because besides the location is isn't really value for money. There is an restaurant and the food is good. Overall feeling is that campers is only a afterthought at the lodge, where chalets occupants receive preference. On the positive side: Staff is friendly & noise complaints was dealt with swiftly. Booming music, people shouting, dogs barking. Felt as if we were camping in the middle of a shebeen. Besides no sleep we did not feel safe and left a day earlier sacrificing the camping costs already paid.
