Ihlozi is a luxury 5-star bush lodge and the ultimate bush getaway. Ihlozi is fully equipped self-catering, just for you to enjoy, relax and experience the peace and serenity of the bure bush. The lodge is located within the exclusive Kuleni Game Park which is just 18 km away from Hluhluwe town.
Ihlozi is the perfect bush getaway for guests looking for that extra bit of luxury and privacy. The entrance to Ihlozi is through two large wooden doors that lead into an open plan living area with a fully fitted kitchen, dining area and lounge. The kitchen has a large double door fridge/freezer and ample storage for food and other items for extended stays. You'll find everything you need to cook with whether it's on the 5 plate gas stove, oven or braai/BBQ.
The main living area opens up onto a massive deck area with outdoor lounge, dining table and braai/BBQ. This space is generally where guests spend most of their time as there is a good chance of seeing the local wildlife walking through the bush garden.
On either side of the main living area are 2 double, en-suite bedrooms as well as a TV room. From the main living area, it's a short walk through the garden along raised walkways which are lit up at night creating an incredible outdoor ambience. The walkways lead to a swimming pool as well as second bar/lounge area and 2 more double, en-suite bedrooms.
The Kitchen is fully equipped with only the best of appliances, including a stove/ oven, microwave, and all the utensils you would need to create the best meal memories on holiday. All 4 bedrooms has en-suite bathrooms, all with outside showers, making this a holiday of a lifetime, to shower under the African Stars, with Giraffes possible walking past you.
Only a two hour drive from Durban and four hours from Johannesburg the entire area around the Hluhluwe Reserve, right down to the Greater St Lucia Wetlands Park, now a World Heritage Site, has been given over to animal conservation and game farms and visiting the region provides one with an abundance of Big Five viewing, over 350 species of bird and a variety of other wildlife including rhino, giraffe, wildebeest and many antelope species. Guests can also hire a guided quad bike tour through the bush!
