DOVECOTE COTTAGE REVIEWS (94 %) Quiet Weekend by Jacques Du Rand, South Africa 27 October 2014 The weekend was really wonderful. Dovecote is the perfect accommodation if you want to get away and just be. Close to town and you can walk anywhere in Hermanus from the house. Pam was a wonderful host and we really had a wonderful, peaceful and rested time. Disappointment by Brian Hayward, South Africa 16 October 2015 We were very disappointed in the equipment at the cottage. The old TV was situated in a cupboard. The picture was very distorted and it was difficult to watch or change channels. We reported it to the owner on the first day and she sent for a TV repair company. The TV was beyond repair. On the penultimate day, the shower, which was over the bath, leaked everywhere and was unusable.We left a day early. This is one of the older properties in Hermanus and is seriously in need of an upgrade. We were refunded for one day.

Bruce and Pam made us feel very welcome and always helpful and charming. The situation is perfect to walk along the cliff path, walk to shops and restaurants. Great situation, well equipped cottage which was enjoyed by by ourselves and our family dog by Julie Lundberg 15 March 2018 We received a warm welcome from Pam and we were really pleased with the cottage and its close proximity to the Cliff walking paths and the Town. Everything that we needed was provided and it was lovely and private. It was great for our Border Collie Sam and we explored everywhere on foot. We found Hermanus very dog-friendly and I would recommend it as a great get away with your dog. The effort that Pam goes to in order to make people feel welcome is just extraordinary. We will definitely be visiting Dovecote Cottage again. Clean and comfortable by Viola Jansen 20 June 2018 Only spent 2 nights. Very clean and comfortable. Just missed the fireplace, especially during the 2hr load shedding.
