BLOOD RIVER OUTSPAN LODGE REVIEWS (80 %) Weekend away by Howard Prothero, South Africa 12 September 2011 My wife and I spent a very enjoyable weekend at the lodge. Time was short so we did not have time to enjoy the tour but we will return. The room, food and service were first class and very affordable. I recommend this to everyone. The history of the monument and the battle was fascinating. The accommodation is lovely, with character, and clean. Dons & Eureka make you welcome and are very helpful. They bring the history of this place alive with their enthusiastic knowledge of the battlefield. We will be back! The people are fantastic, the breakfast even better...Rooms clean ablutions clean. Rooms set out in a time warp way.
