Azura Selous Game Reserve

Amara is a luxury tented lodge situated in the heart of the Selous wilderness, in Southern Tanzania. The lodge overlooks the rapids of the Great Ruaha River and its resident hippo. We provide guests with lavish comfort in the middle of the African bush and slow safari's in Selous.

Amara is intimate and perfect for honeymoons and romantic breaks, or even a family safari. We have a stunning swimming pool and 12 tented suites that all come with their own plunge pools. The suites are air-conditioned with large king-size beds and comfortable furniture. Opulent stone bathrooms compliment the luxurious suites, with inside and outside showers.

We offer spa treatments and have a host of activities to keep you entertained, as well as conference facilities that is ideal for small groups. Aside from game drives, walking safaris and river excursions; the camp also offers bush breakfasts and dinners, along with sundowner boat rides.
